Row the Nottawasaga

Experience the grandeur and history of the Nottawasaga River, launching from historic Nancy Island. We will pause for lunch on a shore only accessible by boat. See bucolic natural scenes, waterbirds, and lush vegetation. Get some exercise and fresh air and enjoy great company. And most of all, relive the exciting 1814 journey of the Royal Scots Grenadiers, who braved the river and then Lake Huron to supply Mackinac Island.

We are planning to launch from Jacque’s Landing then row downriver to Nancy Island, where we’ll recover the boat.

Free, and no experience necessary.

Location: Jacque’s Landing, 1873 Klondike Park Road, Wasaga Beach, L9Z 2W8
