Legend of the Lake

Arthur Britton Smith

This compelling and brilliantly-illustrated book tells the story of one of Lake Ontario’s early purpose-built warships, which was sunk in a storm in 1780. The book details the construction and operation of the vessel. The vessel was found underwater in 2008, largely intact. The book provides images of the wreck as well as paintings by our friend, Peter Rindlisbacher.
