How did people remember loved ones in the past? Full length portraits were for the wealthy. A lock of hair, perhaps?

Silhouettes were the cheap alternative and a simple way to catch a likeness. Lieutenant Bill Wand of HMS Wolfe joins us as guest speaker to explore this elegant form of portraiture originating from the late 1700’s but with ancient roots.
